friday favorites - five things

 

 

1.  Our neighborhood lake and my view on my running route!  A pretty view makes my run so much more enjoyable.  I stopped to take this picture last week while I was running.  It's mid July and pretty hot here, but still so enjoyable in the morning or evening to be out enjoying the outdoors.

 

2.  I love white!  Since we've been painting everything white lately, my daughter told me the other day, "I think your favorite color is white."  Ha!  I think she's right.  I love a crisp, new white shirt, love my white kitchen and white office, so now I want to try this color on my nails for the summer.  It's OPI Funny Bunny.  It's near white with a tint of pink and I think it would be a perfect compliment to any summer outfit. 

3.  Summer is in full swing and we are enjoying everything about it!  Myself with Lyla and my nephew Jackson on the boat.

 

4.  And I am so, so behind on this one.  I slowly created all my other social media accounts since I started this blog about a year ago except a facebook page.  So, the other day when I was doing all my blog organizing with my CATEGORIES, I also created a "this is happiness" facebook page.  If you're interested you can check it out here.

5.  I started working on an inspiration board for our home office/study.  Here's a sneak peak.  Hope to finish it this weekend and share it with you next week.

Port A

We spent 4 days soaking up the sand, sun and sea with my family at the Texas coast a few days before the fourth.  Port Aransas is where we went every summer when I was growing up, so it's always fun to go back.  I have lots of great memories of this little beach town.  This year we rented a 5 bedroom beach house since there were 18 of us! 

1. Ferry boat ride from Aransas Pass to Port Aransas.  It was a 1 hour wait to get on the ferry because it was July 4th weekend, but once we finally got aboard several dolphins put on a great show for us! 
2. Lyla loved making sand castles and pretended they were doll houses. 
3. Preston loved the water and the waves.  He was a boogie boarding kid.
4. Grant and my brother were the horseshoe champs!

We are off to see Despicable Me 2.  Gotta love the summer!  Have a great day!

blog organizing

Good Morning!  It's a lazy Wednesday summer morning for us - yay!!  And actually the past couple of days have been laid back.  While the kids were at a friend's house, I started organizing my "categories" that are located over on the right hand side bar.  And once I started I could not stop until it was done.  So I spent much of the past two nights after kids went to bed knocking it out.  I could not be happier to have everything so organized.  I used InLinkz and used the project manager tool.  It's really easy to use, but was a bit time consuming for me, because I put it off so long and had lots of posts to organize.  If you're bored :) go check them out and let me know what you think.  You can go to the sidebar or here are the links:
