Hooray it's Friday! I'm linking up with my favorite Friday friends again this week! The
five on Friday group
(Darci,
Natasha,
Christina, and
April)and the
high five for Friday link up with
Lauren Elizabeth. Because my blog was still very new last Fall and since Pinterest and the all the stores have blown up with Fall (and Christmas) décor already, I thought I would take a look back at some of my Fall projects last year. I haven't put up any Fall decorations at my home yet this year, because I'm just not feeling it yet with the triple digit temps outside. I'm thinking the end of September, I'll get on that. But I am collecting ideas and pinning away! So here goes it:
1. First up, is my very
simple Fall mantel. I went with a white and brown color scheme adding a white pumpkin, brown bow, and reclaimed wood board with the word "togetherness" written in chalk. I loved how simple it was!
2. Next up was this little Fall
leaf garland. My daughter and I made it using felt leaves and twine and hung it on our front door at the beginning of Fall last year.
3. Third was a
Fall centerpiece I put together for our dining room table using a reclaimed wood plank as my table runner.
4. Another Fall project was this
Thanksgiving tablescape. Using the reclaimed wood runner again, I added the pinecones, fresh greenery, burlap ribbon and white dishes. The "I am thankful for" paper was for my kiddos. Not only did it make them think about all they have to be thankful for, but it kept them busy and seated while we finished up our meal.
5. And finally, I made this
grateful banner for Thanksgiving. And that wraps up my Fall 2012.
Have a wonderful weekend!
