first project of 2013

Good morning!  Today I wanted to share a little project I tackled last weekend.  I had large wall mirror that I got years ago at Kirkland's for my bedroom and then when we moved, it's new home became my closet.  It was really getting tarnished, so I pulled it out and decided to give it a fresh coat of metallic paint.

I love the new look and when I finished I thought I would also give it a try in a new spot...and a very large, blank wall in my dining won (for now.)  Right now I have it leaning against the wall, but I'm thinking that if it stays here I will probably hang it.

Have you started any new project this year?

Enjoy your day!

  1. Love a good spray paint project! It looks great, the silver is a nice change from the old color. It really picks up the nailheads on your dining chairs too.

  2. Looks GREAT! I have to ask, where did you find your lantern style chandelier? I am looking for one like it for our dining area :) Thanks!

  3. That is a great idea. I did one of this project a few years ago. Come to think about it I don't know what happened to that mirror. Stopping by Mom's Monday Mingle.

  6. Love the new look!

I'm so glad you let us know what paint you used! I have a project brewing in my head for a redo of an old table lamp to go with the silver lamps in my living room and was wondering if a good silver spray paint existed. :0)

  7. Oversized mirrors are such a statement piece to have, you've done a great job customising this one. Whatever did we do before spray paint, makes it so much easier doesnt it.
I've done a bit of a crafty project pegging up inspiration cards you can check it out here
