valentine mantel

I really don't decorate much for Valentine's day, but I like to do a little bit to bring a some V-day cheer to our home!  And because my mantel is in the center of our home it is my go to place to add seasonal decor.  I changed it up by "shopping" my house for items that fit the occasion.  The faux flowers are from my daughter's room and the light pink, sparkly heart garland is decor I picked up at Michael's last year.  I added some pink ribbon to the candle and then made a simple "LOVE" sign, by printing a font I liked on cardstock and then adding some iridescent cotton candy glitter polka dots to it.  And that is pretty much it!  My simple pink and white Valentine's Day mantel :)

How about you ~ have you busted out any Valentine decor?

  6. Simple and beautiful! Makes me very anxious to have our mantle finished!!

I never, never, never decorate for Valentine's day. Or at least I never used to! The love bug must have bitten me this year, because I am all about adding some heart themed decorations around the house.
