Happy Friday! The past couple of days this week, I worked on this little paint project. We had this old cd box in a dark finish that I had put away in a closet because I didn't like the dark color. So, I decided to pull it out and paint it.
Here's what I did. I sanded it a little before I started just to rough it up a bit and then sprayed it with a primer. I forgot to take a picture but I painted the whole thing white and then taped off one stripe with 2 inch painters' tape and did the second coat in gray. I pulled the tape immediately and had a nice, crisp, clean stripe. The total distance top to bottom was 6 inches, so the 2 inch tape worked perfect, leaving an even 2 inches on top and bottom of the stripe as well.
It looks a little more blue in the pictures, but is actually a nice gray color. So happy I can use it again now that it goes better with my color scheme in our study.
Love the transformation! Looks great in your study.
