Hope you all had a great weekend! We stayed home this weekend and did a few things around the house A little shopping, fishing and church were the highlights. And in between those activities, I added some bright colors to the kitchen.
I put this rug back in the kitchen. I originally bought it for the kitchen, then it moved around the house in various spots, but now it's back and I really like it against the white cabinets. I think this is where it needs to be...for now ;)
And while we were out and about, I picked up this yellow chevron bowl at World Market. Not sure where it would land, I knew I would find a spot! I decided it needed to be by the kitchen sink to hold my jewelry when I'm washing dishes or cooking.
And my final purchase this weekend were this gorgeous orange flowers. As much as I love yellow, I'm finding myself drawn to everything orange lately! Sometimes these little finds and changes make such a difference! They definitely have brought some bright, cheerfulness to this space!
And just for fun, here is a quick before picture of our very dark kitchen. You can read more about painting our kitchen cabinets here.
