Hi there! I am really excited to be part of this One Room Spring Home Tour that Kathleen from Lindsay Hill Interiors put together. She has the most amazing eye for design, so I feel honored that she included me. I love how she came up with the idea to only showcase one space of your home rather then an entire home, which is quite the undertaking. You can see the full line-up of talent at the end of this post and you can follow along on Instagram by checking out the hashtag #oneroomspringtour.
If you are coming over from Life on the Shady Grove, welcome! I found Wendy via Instagram awhile back and oh my goodness if you haven't visited her site or feed you have got check her out. She is a wife, mom and has the most gorgeous home and adorable animals.
Most of you know that we are in between homes right now, but we will be closing on our new one in May, yay! So today I'm sharing a space from our last home that we sold in December. To tie into today's theme, this set up is our outdoor porch furniture that I thought would be fun to set up in our yard and create a little entertaining or relaxation spot for Spring.
Here's a little bit about what I did to refresh this furniture and space for Spring. The oleanders and other landscaping made a great backdrop to create this space, so I pulled our porch furniture over and got to work. After cleaning up the furniture from all of winter's mess, I added color with the bright blue throw pillows and napkins. I also added the black and white striped umbrella which for us provides more of a décor piece, as this area of yard is completely shaded in the late afternoon.
The galvanized planters hold both my mason jars of fresh flowers, as well as my chips and dip. I love using fresh flowers and fruit to add color to a space.
So that wraps up my Spring One Room Tour, but there is still lots of inspiration to be shared all week. Next, head over to Sarah @ Life on Virginia Street to see how she decorated her entryway, which will be tomorrow's theme. Her home is stunning and I am always so inspired by her décor and design ideas.
