quick lamp shade dress-up

A while back, I found this glass bubble lamp for my front entry at Home Goods for a steal, but I wasn't crazy about the shade that came with it.  It just blended right into the wall.  I considered buying a new shade, but then I was so inspired by Courtney's idea for her lamp shade.  Using some black one inch ribbon that I already had, and adding it to the top and bottom using double sided tape, I now have a lamp shade that I am happy with.   So much better and it didn't cost me anything - YAY!

  12. I just bought the same lamps from Home Goods this summer. However, the shades were this hideous shiny gray color. I changed them out for the PB ones I had on our old lamps and added some ribbon as well. It was a bear however because they aren't true drum shades (top dimension is smaller than bottom, so the ribbon wanted to bow out). Thank goodness my youngest has more patience than I.
