Now that we are finally getting some cooler weather, I decided to add a few touches of Fall to our front door and porch area. And keeping with my simple style, just a few changes has made the front of our home more welcoming of the new season.
I love, love, love boxwoods. They are traditional, classic and add beautiful, rich color to décor or landscaping. I added this darling boxwood wreath to the door and hung it with burlap and a brown satin ribbon. I like how it compliments the planted topiary and that I can easily transition it for the Christmas season just by changing the ribbon.
For now I added the white pumpkin, but hopefully one of these weekends we'll make it to a pumpkin patch so the kids can pick out some more pumpkins for carving. But I have to say, my simple decorating heart really kinda likes the one, lone, white pumpkin :)
The space is limited, so keeping it simple was my goal. I made just a few minor changes, but it's definitely feeling a little more Fall like. Amazing that so little can transform the space to fit the season. What about you...have you decorated for Fall yet? Do you bring your decorating outdoors? Or do you choose to decorate for Halloween instead?

Have a great day!
Love, love it!! You're so great at decorating!
ReplyDeleteYour front porch looks great! Random but I love your front door! Did you paint it that color or did it come that way? I've decorated a bit for Fall but plan on making a wreath and adding a few more touches this weekend!
ReplyDeleteHey Ally! It's actually came unfinished and then was stained with a stain gel.
DeleteVery pretty and I too love boxwoods!
ReplyDeleteI love your simple style...it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteYour porch is just like mine - tiny but beautiful. In fact, ours look almost the same. I really like the boxwood topiary you have there. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI love your simple porch décor. Mine is the same size. I am new to your blog (I stopped by from WOW). I am going to stay a bit and look around. Have a great day!

Beautiful. Love the boxwood wreath and combo of burlap and satin ribbon. Love topiaries too. We found two beautiful rosemary ones for our front porch. Love that I can keep them right through Christmas too.
