Happy Friday! Today I'm taking a look back at some of my Christmas projects from last year since my blog was still really new last Christmas. You can click the link below each picture for the full post. And these and more holiday ideas are all under my HOLIDAY tab at the top if you're interested.
1. Dear Santa Letter
Dear Santa,
Thank you for coming to our house tonight.
We are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Thank you Santa for the gifts you bring.
Thank you Lord for everything.
Merry Christmas,
Grant, Becky, Preston and Lyla
In our home we celebrate the birth of Christ and add the whimsy of Santa too. To help the kids remember what's important about Christmas, we will be including this letter to Santa along with his cookies again this year. It's short and sweet, and simple enough for them to understand :)
2. Boxwood Christmas Mantel
3. Silver and Gold Vignette
4. Chalkboard Christmas Tree & DIY Pinecone Cluster
5. And finally our Christmas card from last year :)
Hope you have a Merry Weekend!
Also linking with the five on Friday group. Go check out what these lovely host are up to Darci, Natasha, Christina, & April.

Oh my, what an adorable Christmas card you had last year!! And love your letter to Santa :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE your letter to Santa and how you incorporated Jesus. Once our kids get old enough I think I want to have a "birthday cake" for Jesus to keep him center of our holiday. And I love the Christmas card! xo
ReplyDeleteThank you! Love the birthday cake idea! My son's birthday is on the 25th, so we always sing happy birthday to him and baby Jesus :)
DeleteI love the letter to Santa! We have no problem with our kids enjoying the fun and "magic" of Santa, but we definitely emphasize what Christmas is really about. This year, we're reading from the Jesus Storybook Bible. I came across an advent reading plan that goes right along with that Bible. And since we already enjoy it so much, it just made sense to do that. :) I'm pretty sure Robert and I are enjoying it just as much as the kiddos are.
ReplyDeleteLove the boxwood mantel and the vignette! What a great idea to write a letter to Santa as well!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh I LOVE the letter to Santa!! We will definitely be incorporating that this year! Thanks so much for sharing!!
