The search for Lyla's bedding is finally over! When I started her mini room makeover a couple of months ago, she and I decided we wanted to bring some yellow into her room. I added a few touches of yellow to her desk space and walls, and the metallic gold heart from Urban Walls, that we absolutely LOVE. Then I began looking for bedding, which I hoped would be our main source of yellow in this space, and that's when her room makeover came to a halt! Either it was the wrong shade of yellow or the pattern/print was not right. But finally the talented Kristin at Hunted Interiors, posted pictures of her daughter's adorable room and I immediately knew I found the perfect bedding for Lyla's room. It is from Crane and Canopy and we just adore it!! It's the perfect shade of yellow and the perfect girly print. And if you're interested, the pom pom can be found here and the pink ruffle pillow here.
Originally, I thought we would just do yellow and white in here, but she has SO much pink in her room already that we decided to go yellow, white and pink. I still need sheets and I'm thinking about these white eyelet sheets. I'm also adding some fun stuff to her desk space (which she uses every single day) and then I want to do a small gallery wall as well.

I feel like the bedding is such an important part of a bedroom and finding this duvet has given this room just the right amount of fun, cheerful, girliness I hoped for. So hopefully I can wrap up this space soon with a few more finishing touches.
Back with more soon, I hope :)

How could she not love this? It's perfect and not too "little" girlish so it will last for years! :) Or until you get the itch to redecorate it again!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jess! Hoping it will last for awhile, but I do get the itch to change things too frequently :)
DeleteI love the color combination. And good call keeping the pink in there as well. I like the 3 color combo. Great find with the bedding. I'll have to give Crane & Canopy a whirl when we convert our daughter to a big girl bed.
