five ways to welcome spring

Good Morning!  We have been blessed with some warmer weather this week and I am so thankful for it!  I not only hit the Garden Center yesterday, but as I shared on Instagram, I started clearing out my mudroom.  I put away some of our big, heavy winter coats, gloves, hats, etc. and love the new, clean space.  So today I thought I would link up with the five on Friday group...Darci, Natasha, Christina, & April and share five ways to welcome Spring into your home.  All of these ideas I have shared on this blog before, but I have actually forgot about some of them, so I thought I would share them again since you maybe have forgotten too J

One – Design watercolor Easter eggs with your kids.  Use a white crayon to design your eggs and then paint over them with watercolor paints to see the design magically appear.  Next up...

Two – Upcycle old condiment bottles into small vases and bring in some fresh flowers.

Three – Clean out the mudroom.  With temps warming up, put away the big winter coats and simplify the mudroom.

Four – Set an Easter/Spring Table.

Five – Bake a cake and decorate it for Spring like this sunny yellow daisy cake.
For more details on each of these, you can click the links below each picture for a full post.
So is it starting to feel like Spring in your part of the country?

Also so honored to be included with an amazing group of some of my favorite bloggers on Kris' blog, Driven By Décor.  She has an amazing Design and DIY blog and has become such a sweet friend.  Today she has put together a whole round-up of blogging tips.  You can go here to check it out!  As I approach my second year of blogging this May, I still learned some great tips from her post!

Have an amazing weekend friends!

  1. It felt like spring for a minute now it's freezing again! I can't wait for it to warm up for good so I can get into the swing of warmer weather days. I just seem to be so much more motivated overall when the weather is nice!
