Happy November! Wow, this year...where has it gone?! It's been a great year and I'm really looking forward to the holiday season. I love November and Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite holidays. Among all the day to day craziness, it's sometimes easy to forget how blessed we are. I love that Thanksgiving and the month of November helps remind me about all the I have to be grateful for.
Keeping all my blessings in mind, I also love traditional Thanksgiving dishes! I hosted my family for the first time last year and plan to host my husband's side this year, but usually if I'm attending I love bringing a dessert! So today I thought I would share a few of my favorites. And I noticed a couple of common ingredients in these recipes...cream cheese and pecans...they all have one of these and some have both. Yum!!
First up and probably my favorite of these five recipes is this pumpkin roll. Complete with gooey cream cheese filling and covered with pecans. It is really so amazing! It's a bit of a messy recipe, but still really easy and the results are worth the mess! It has actually be repined over 1000 times on Pinterest!
If you're looking for easy, these salted chocolate pecan bars are it. Supper easy and so, so good!
You may already know that my most favorite cookies are peanut butter blossoms. I turned them into spiders for Halloween, and now this recipe is similar, but switched up a bit with cheesecake pudding and pumpkin spice Hershey kisses (which are seasonal).
These are very similar to the salted chocolate pecan bars above. This was my original recipe and then last year I added the salt and chocolate. So again super easy and they remind me of a mini pecan pie.
This was a new recipe I tried last year and it's a keeper. Shortbread crust, cream cheese in the middle and a pecan layer on top makes for delicious combination.
