olympic rings

It's so fun to see how interested my kids are in watching the Olympic games this summer.  It's really the first time they both really seem to understand what it's all about.  We've spent almost every evening sitting down after dinner as a family watching the games and cheering on Team USA.  There are very few shows that keep the interest of a 4yr old, 6 yr old and two 30 somethings - so this has been a real treat!

Because they've been so interested in the games, they were really excited to do this project.  I used card stock and traced the circles and then they cut them out and painted them.  We discussed what the rings symbolized and other random Olympic questions that were sparked as we were working on these.  Fun and Easy!

  8. What a great little project! My little one (2yrs) has been watching the swimming, I guess it is the only thing she can relate to. $ and 6 yrs are a great age to start getting interested in the Olympics, so much they can learn themselves about it.
