One of the main reasons I started this blog was to share some of our diy projects. I'm fortunate my husband is really handy and by doing many projects ourselves we have saved a lot of money. In our last home we did so many big home improvement projects and I didn't document any of them :( And we did major stuff like place real wood flooring throughout our whole downstairs which took weeks to finish because we did it after work when the kids went to bed and on weekends cutting and placing each and every piece. It was exhausting, but we saved so much money doing it ourselves. We remodeled our kitchen with new backsplash, countertops and appliances. Built a huge playscape in our backyard for the kids and my husband's most famous project, was a huge toy closet/room he created with attic space on our second level. I still remember coming home one day and going upstairs to find him cutting a huge hole in our sheetrock 'to see what kind of space was behind the wall.' It ended up turning out great and fit every toy and including a play kitchen and was still so big that the kids would sit in there and play.
Anyways, we love doing projects and although we haven't tackled any major ones like above since I started blogging, we still did a few minor ones throughout the year. You can click the link below each picture for a full post.
You can find more under my PROJECT tab. We have a few things on our list for projects for this year that I'm anxious to get started!
Hope you all have an amazing weekend!!
Great roundup! We installed hardwoods in our upstairs ourselves a few years back...I know how difficult and time consuming that is!!!
