five on friday {halloween}

It's time for a five on Friday link up again.  I think I really love this link up because of amazing group of bloggers that not only host (DarciNatasha, Christina, and April) but the really sweet group that also participates.  I have found some really great blogs from this little link up.  It's been fun to find some new inspiration.

This week is all about post from Halloween past.

1.  Halloween candy wrappers.  We made these last year for the kids' teachers and I'm thinking we'll do the same again this year.  Follow this link for a free printable.

2.  Simple purple and white Halloween mantel with countdown chalkboard.  I don't go overboard on decorating for Halloween, but like to add a little something for the kids.

3.  Fun Halloween lights.  Loved these!  Pulling them out again soon.

4.  Friendly "out of candy" sign for my door.  Since my kids are in bed by 8:30 pm at the latest, I made this little sign to put out on my front door, just to keep the doorbell from ringing once we're in bed :)

5.  And just for fun, here are my little trick-or-treaters last year.  And don't ask me what Preston was...he wanted to be something scary, but I thought he was still too young, so this is what we agreed on :)

Have an amazing weekend friends!

  4. Thank you for the sweet words.... I love this link-up too and have been blown away by the response and amazed at how very sweet everyone is!! Really, really great group! :)

    Love all of your Halloween photos and ideas -- and your cuties are precious!! They grow to fast, don't they?!

  5. The "out of candy" sign is genius! I never think to do that -- turning your porch light off doesn't work anymore in our neighborhood. :)

  6. Thanks for the inspiration - Halloween is sneaking up on me this year. Gotta get to it! Have a great weekend!!

  7. Fun! The kiddos are so cute. Our HOA tells homeowners to turn porch lights on if accepting trick or treaters, off if not or done for the evening. Works really well since everyone knows the drill.

  8. The door hanger is such a great idea! And I love your Halloween mantle…I don't go overboard either, but will probably do a little more once Arden's old enough to get it. I can't wait for her to get as excited about holidays as I do! :)

    Have a great weekend!!
