friday five {fall decor}

Hooray it's Friday!  I'm linking up with my favorite Friday friends again this week!  The five on Friday group (DarciNatasha, Christina, and April)and the high five for Friday link up with Lauren Elizabeth.  Because my blog was still very new last Fall and since Pinterest and the all the stores have blown up with Fall (and Christmas) décor already, I thought I would take a look back at some of my Fall projects last year.  I haven't put up any Fall decorations at my home yet this year, because I'm just not feeling it yet with the triple digit temps outside.  I'm thinking the end of September, I'll get on that.   But I am collecting ideas and pinning away!  So here goes it:

1.  First up, is my very simple Fall mantel.  I went with a white and brown color scheme adding a white pumpkin, brown bow, and reclaimed wood board with the word "togetherness" written in chalk.  I loved how simple it was!

2.  Next up was this little Fall leaf garland.  My daughter and I made it using felt leaves and twine and hung it on our front door at the beginning of Fall last year.

3.  Third was a Fall centerpiece I put together for our dining room table using a reclaimed wood plank as my table runner.

4.  Another Fall project was this Thanksgiving tablescape.  Using the reclaimed wood runner again, I added the pinecones, fresh greenery, burlap ribbon and white dishes.  The "I am thankful for"  paper was for my kiddos.  Not only did it make them think about all they have to be thankful for, but it kept them busy and seated while we finished up our meal.

5.  And finally, I made this grateful banner for Thanksgiving.  And that wraps up my Fall 2012.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  7. Your fall decor looks AMAZING ---- great job, girl! And I agree, that cut is adorable. I'd go for it, but always end up regretting it when I cut mine too short!

  12. I need to get to decorating for Fall! I usually do it Labor Day weekend {early!} but haven't yet. I love Kelly's haircut - it fits her. I don't think I would go that short, I've been like an inch or so longer than that at the shortest! Stopping by from Five on Friday!
